  • White/cream powder until reconstituted.

Indications

  • A barbiturate anesthetic used for induction of anesthesia   Anesthesia: overview  .
  • Not generally recommended in rabbits due to low therapeutic index. Its use has largely been superseded by propofol   Propofol  .

Little analgesic effect.
