Introduction

• There are two forms of coccidiosis in rabbits:
  • Hepatic (Eimeria stiedai Eimeria stiedai) host-specific, non-zoonotic.
  • Intestinal (several Eimeria spp Eimeria spp), can be transmitted from wild rodents or other infected rabbits.
