The life expectancy of a pet rabbit is generally much longer than that of a rabbit living in the wild. On average a pet rabbit may live for about 6-8 years and some even survive past 10 years. But at some stage it may become obvious that your rabbit's life is drawing to a close. It is then that you will face a painful and difficult decision on whether your rabbit should be taken to your veterinarian and euthanased. Understanding the process of euthanasia and what it involves is very important when it comes to saying that final goodbye.
