Chemical name

  • N-methylated 24-membered cyclooctadepsipeptide, consisting of 4 alternating residues of N-methyl-L-leucine, 2 residues of D-lactate, and 2 residues of D-phenylacetate.

  • 1119.4

Physical properties

  • Used topically as a spot-on solution and orally as a suspension and as modified-release tablets. Suspension - shake well before use.

Indications

  • Used in combination with praziquantel Praziquantel as a spot-on for cats and as modified-release tablets for dogs for use when there is mixed infection with roundworms and tapeworms.
  • Used in combination with praziquantel and tigolaner as a spot-on for cats when there is mixed infection with ectoparasites, roundworms and tapeworms.

Interactions

With other drugs

  • Co-treatment with other drugs that are P-glycoprotein substrates/inhibitors (eg ivermectin and other antiparasitic macrocyclic lactones, erythromycin, prednisolone and cyclosporin) could give rise to pharmacokinetic drug interactions.
