Introduction

• These localized tumors of the spinal cord are rare in most mammals except ferrets. 
• Cause: embryonic origin.
• Signs: mass on tail, or neurological signs associated with spinal cord suppression.
• Diagnosis: biopsy, histopathology.
• Treatment: exision or tail amutation.
• Prognosis: good with removal.
