  • Cardiac arrest is the lack of cardiac output.

Incidence

  • 33.2% of anesthetic deaths in horses are due to cardiac arrest or cardiovascular collapse in a recent multicentre study.
  • Crisis is difficult to diagnose unless there is enough physiological monitoring.
