Uses

Indications

Dog

• Treatment of pseudopregnancy Pseudopregnancy (false pregnancy or pseudocyesis).
• Suppression of milk production.
• Adjunct in treatment of eclampsia Puerperal tetany and mastitis Mastitis.
• Inducing abortion.
• Reducing mammary tissue size in prolactin-dependent tumors Mammary gland: neoplasia.
• Induction of estrus in the bitch Failure to show estrus.
• May be used in conjunction with F2a prostaglandin analogue (eg dinoprost Dinoprost trimethamine ) to terminate unwanted pregnancy in the bitch. Pregnancy termination takes place by resorption of the fetusus.
