Indications

  • Mucolysis to decrease the viscosity of bronchial secretions.
  • Acetominophen (paracetamol) toxicity - to reduce the extent of liver injury or methemoglobinemia by maintaining liver glutathione levels.
  • May be useful in the treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) (dry eye) Keratoconjunctivitis sicca.
  • Abnormal ocular mucus production.
  • Stromolytic ulcers using drug may have an anticollagenase activity.
