Introduction

  • Cause: idiopathic.
  • Signs: adult onset, medically refractory seborrheic skin disease with marked plugging of follicles and hyperkeratotic plaques.
  • Diagnosis: breed, clinical signs, histopathology, and response to treatment.
  • Treatment: vitamin A supplementation to diet.
  • Prognosis: good - lifelong therapy of low cost drugs needed.

  • Unknown.

Timecourse

  • Develops in adulthood, then lifelong.
