Introduction

  • Congenital immunodeficiency disease of Irish setters Irish Setter.
  • Cause: absence of two leucocyte surface glycoproteins: CD11b and CD18.
  • Neutrophilia but impaired neutrophil chemotaxis into tissue (pus formation).
  • Signs: increased susceptibility to bacterial infections.
