Introduction

• Cause: flexural deformity associated with excessive tension of flexor carpi ulnaris muscle.
• May affect one or both forelimbs.
• Seen at 2-3 months old especially in Dobermann - may be hereditary.
• Signs: flexion of carpus.
• Diagnosis: signs.
• Treatment: usually resolves spontaneously; some cases require surgical transection.
• Prognosis: generally good.
