Introduction

• Cause: inherited predisposition.
• High incidence of bilateral involvement - most commonly affecting outer edge, central weight-bearing region articular surface, medial humeral condyle.
• Occasionally seen in conjunction with fractured coronoid process (FCP) Fragmented medial coronoid process or ununited anconeal process (UAP) Ununited anconeal process osteochondroses.
• Treatment: surgery.
• Prognosis: good with early diagnosis and treatment.

Pathophysiology

• Same as osteochondrosis Osteochondrosis.
• In long-standing cases, cartilage flap may break off → lodges in caudal and medial aspect of joint capsule → forming a linear osteochondral ossicle.
