Introduction

General information

  • Old German breed dating back to the 1600s.
  • Used for tracking and retrieving game.
  • Bold and fearless to the extent that it can also act as a guard dog.
  • Can be a dominant type and needs good training.
  • Will be best in country environments, but can do well in town households if given sufficient exercise and attention.
