Introduction

General information

  • An ancient breed originating in Tibet for use in herding and guarding livestock as well as the home. Most of the European Mastiffs are thought to have roots back to this breed.
  • This very large dog will require a lot of exercise and makes a good watch dog. Size makes it unsuitable for the urban environment.
  • Long straight coat requires very regular grooming.
  • Affably aloof and easy-going, prefers to watch life go by but will defend its territory.
