Introduction

General information

  • Originated in Sweden as a cattle drover, ratter and guarding dog. Is thought to share common ancestry with the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and has a similar temperament and look.
  • Short-legged, energetic and tough, it makes a very good multipurpose farm dog.
  • Mostly good with other dogs, but not children; make good watch dogs.
  • Suitable for the urban environment and colder climates but does require a lot of exercise.
