Introduction

General information

  • Herding and guarding breed.
  • Prefers outdoor life.
  • Bred to protect herds from predators, thus independent and defensive behaviors are inherent.
  • Breed standard describes it as friendly and quick to learn; however, in Sweden they have proven to be occasionally difficult to train and aggressive.
  • Coat is thick and dense and requires good grooming.
