Introduction

General information

  • Originates from a combination of several terrier breeds used by an English Captain, Captain Edwards (circa 1848 -1891) to breed a terrier specifically for hunting badgers and otters.
  • Often kept in small packs.
  • Retains a lot of its original aggression towards vermin, although the typical Sealyham should not direct this temper towards other dogs. However, the Sealyham does require an experienced owner.
  • Needs grooming to maintain the typical outline.
