Introduction

General information

  • Originated in Rottweil, South Germany, as a cattle drover and guard.
  • Suitable for the urban environment, it makes a good family dog and guard dog.
  • The coarse, flat coat requires very little grooming.
  • Easily obedience trained, but can show its temper and is not good with other dogs.
  • Will require a lot of exercise.
