Introduction

General information

  • Originated in France to meet the needs of the mountain shepherds. Used for sheep herding and guarding.
  • In the UK, two different coat varieties, long-haired and semi-long-haired.
  • Easily obedience trained, its size makes it suitable for the urban environment.
  • Good with children, this breed prefers a colder climate. Thrives in an active environment; quick and lively and will require regular exercise.
