Introduction

General information

  • Good with children, this is an ancient breed originating in the Andorra region of France, used principally to guard sheep.
  • Selective breeding has succeeded in reducing its assertiveness while enhancing other characteristics of courage, patience and nobility.
  • Size makes it unsuitable for the urban environment.
  • Prefers a colder climate, makes a good watchdog but needs regular exercise and the abundant, long white coat needs regular grooming.
