  • Most Foxhounds in the US are American Foxhounds, not English Foxhounds Foxhound (English).
  • The American Foxhound is more slightly built than its English counterpart.
  • Skilled at following scents, and working with other hounds, the American foxhound is equally well suited to life as a working animal, or as a family pet.
