Introduction

General information

  • Originated in Germany for following badgers and foxes to earth (rabbits in the case of the miniatures).
  • There are 3 distinct varieties, the smooth-haired, the wire-haired and the long-haired, as well as 2 sizes, the standard and the miniature.
  • One of Germany's most effective earth dogs, they are also good companions but retain the instinct to hunt.
