Introduction

General information

  • The Beagle is a hunting dog but it has a calm and affectionate nature, making it a favorite with pet owners.
  • Somewhat easily distracted and has a tendency to wander off in search of a scent or other dogs.
  • Active small breed and therefore prefers country environments.
  • There is a great variation in size and type within the UK and across the world.
  • Some packs of Beagles still exist in the hunting field.
