Introduction

General information

  • American adaptation of the English Cocker Spaniel. The breed is gentle and a good companion. American Cocker Spaniels do, however, retain their hunting instincts and are a lively breed. Thus they require reasonable exercise.
  • The profuse coat requires daily grooming, especially if the pet dog is to look anything like the exhibited specimen.
  • The breed does have a predisposition to inherited disease.
