Interactions

With other drugs

  • May precipitate when in contact with other pharmaceutical agents if given through an IV infusion set.
  • Diuretics can increase risk of ototoxicity.
  • Gentamicin can potentiate neuromuscular blockade with non-depolarizing muscle relaxants.
  • Increased risk of nephrotoxicity with amphotericin B and cisplatin.
