Rachel Blake - Contributor Profile


Rachel graduated from University College Dublin in 2012 after which she completed a rotating internship at Mississippi State University. She then spent two years working in small animal first opinion practice in Manchester before undertaking a cardiology residency at the University of Edinburgh.

Rachel achieved her Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology in 2019, gaining specialist status, and completed a master’s degree in myxomatous mitral valve disease in the same year. She worked for a year in the cardiology department at Pride Veterinary Centre before returning to the University of Edinburgh as a senior lecturer in cardiopulmonary medicine.
