Jemma Hildrew

Bio

Jemma graduated from the University of Bristol, UK in 2007. She started work in a mixed practice in West Wales and in 2009 joined Highcroft Veterinary Group. Jemma gained her General Practitioner’s Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice in 2011, and completed her RCVS Certificate in Zoological Medicine and gained the RCVS Advanced Practitioner Status in Zoological Medicine in 2016. Jemma developed the exotic case load at Highcroft from a part-time solo vet, to three vets, and has helped design the renovation and relocation of the exotics service at Highcroft. She has presented many CPD lectures to professionals and pet owners. Jemma is also an Official Veterinarian, performing pet imports and exports and assists local authorities with inspections, eg Dangerous Wild Animal License, Zoo Licences and Breeding Licences. She has a particular interest in medical work-ups of all exotics species, as well as working with owners to optimise the long-term welfare of their pets.
