Laburnum

  1. Ornamental tree with yellow flowers and black seeds
  2. All parts of the plant contain cytisine which is rapidly adsorbed through mucous membranes of the mouth.
  3. Clinical signs often vomiting and diarrhea (rapid onset).
  4. Progessive changes (with larger doses) - unsteady gait, muscle spasms, recumbency, violent tremors, and death.
