  1. Stomach and intestines lie more cranially than normal; stomach axis is displaced cranially and the gap between it and the diaphragm is very small.
  2. Caudoventral liver margin. Liver raised from abdominal floor by falciform fat pad (often preserved even when animal is very thin).
  3. Transverse colon.
  4. Vestigial ribs on L1 (incidental finding).
  5. If stomach is unclear and change in liver size is suspected, administration of a small amount of barium may be helpful in showing stomach axis.
