  1. Aggressive mixed osteolytic/osteoproductive lesion centered on proximal humeral metaphysis.
  2. Obvious osteolysis.
  3. Florid new bone production.
  4. Patchy medullary sclerosis with very long transition to normal bone.
  5. Surrounding soft tissue swelling.
  6. The lesion is typical of a primary bone malignancy but histological type cannot be suggested radiographically. However, osteosarcoma is the most common.
  7. Osteosarcoma tends to have a lower metastatic rate in the cat than the dog. However, radiography of chest for 2°s is advisable.
