Name
- Lidocaine.
Class of drug
- Amide-linked local anesthetic Local anesthesia.
- Class 1B antidysrhythmic.
Description
- If the reactions are severe, decrease or discontinue the drug.
Seizures
- Controlled with small IM or IV doses of midazolam or IV doses of diazepam or phenobarbitone.
- Monitor the ECG carefully during therapy.
- If an IV bolus is given too rapidly hypotension may occur.
