Introduction

Name

  • Lidocaine.

Class of drug

Description

  • If the reactions are severe, decrease or discontinue the drug.

Seizures

  • Controlled with small IM or IV doses of  midazolam or IV doses of diazepam or phenobarbitone.
  • Monitor the ECG carefully during therapy.
  • If an IV bolus is given too rapidly hypotension may occur.
