Overview
- The mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) indicates the average concentration of Hgb in RBC.
- MCHC = (Hbg x 100)/PCV in g/dl.
- More accurate measure of hemoglobin in red blood cells than mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH).

In combination
- Investigation and monitoring of anemias.
- A normal or decreased MCHC morphologically defines the RBCs as normochromic or hypochromic.

Technique intrinsic limitations
