Manual differential
- Examination and classification of 100-200 WBCs on Diff-Quik Staining techniques: Diffquick, Wrights Staining techniques: Wright's stain or Romanowsky-stained blood smear Staining techniques: Romanowsky-type stains, eg Leishman's Staining techniques: Leishman's stain.
- WBCs are classified into neutrophils (bands Hematology: band neutrophil and mature Hematology: neutrophil forms), eosinophils Hematology: eosinophil, basophils Hematology: basophil, lymphocytes Hematology: lymphocyte and monocytes Hematology: monocyte, and any primitive, abnormal types or inclusions are noted.
