Interactions

With other drugs

  • Concurrent use of drugs that induce hepatic microsomal enzymes, eg barbiturates or phenylbutazone Phenylbutazone, reduces the duration of action of metamizole.
  • Risk of gastro-intestinal bleeding is increased upon concurrent use of glucocorticoids with metamizole.
