Physical properties

  • Cefpodoxime proxetil is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed in vivo to cefpodoxime. It is lipophilic.

Storage requirements

  • Store tablets and unmixed powder for oral suspension at room temperature in a tight, light resistant container.
  • Store reconstituted oral suspension in the refrigerator and discard 14 days after mixing.
